John Barton, one of the world’s foremost experts in document control has just joined Talascend as director of its new Engineering Services division, based in London.

The global engineering resourcing company can now help clients put a tailored document control framework in place to increase efficiency, reduce cost and risk and realise potential profits on projects.

John brings to his new role 30 years of experience of designing and implementing tried and tested solutions that have proven highly successful on some of the world's largest engineering projects, such as the £9.5 Billion London 2012 Olympic Park. Under his direction the Engineering Services division offers turnkey project start-up, procedures and conventions, contract inclusions, systems selection, implementation and every type of related service.

Russell Dalgleish, UK managing director at Talascend, said: “John’s knowledge is a great complement to Talascend’s experience of staffing the document control aspect of projects across all sectors of engineering. For example, Talascend provided 75 document controllers to the High Speed 1 project between 1996 and 2007. With the advent of numerous major projects requiring precise document control, John’s expertise means we can now provide complete world class solutions on a global basis.”
